⇦ The tabs on the left control which explorer view you want

Scores are shown normalized, meaning that 0 represents the average score for a participant for that emotion, -1 is 1 standard deviation (sd) below the mean, +1 is 1 sd above the mean.

You can see the data values by hovering over the data.

  • To explore all the data for one emotion category, click on the "Single emotion explorer"
    • The median of the responses for each segment is the line in the middle of the box
    • The box in the middle encompasses 50% of the responses
    • The lines that extend beyond the box show the entire range of scores
    • Any statistical outliers are represented as points
    • Connecting lines show the mean rating for each segment
  • To explore the data for several emotion categories, click on the "Multiple emotion explorer"
    • You can select whichever emotion categories you, as many as you want -— compare just a few, or look at them all.
    • Connecting lines show the mean rating for each segment

To hear the music connected to the data, click on the data point.

Use the slider to control the window size of the excerpt.
