The Department of Music at Saint Xavier University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Aural Skills I (Tuesdays & Thursdays – 9:30-10:20 AM); Aural Skills III (Tuesdays & Thursdays – 8:30-9:20 AM) and Counterpoint (Tuesdays & Thursdays – 11:00-11:50 AM).
Teach Aural Skills I (first year) and Aural Skills III (second year) and Counterpoint. Utilize our Learning Management System (Canvas) for course materials and grade book. Adjunct instructors are expected to hold weekly office hours, develop and grade appropriate assignments, and communicate with students in a timely manner. All adjunct music faculty report to the Chair of the Music Department.

The successful candidate must have a graduate degree in Music Theory or related field. An earned doctorate is preferred. Highly sought-after candidates will have experience teaching Aural Skills and/or Counterpoint at the collegiate level.
