The Department of Music at Tufts University is seeking one or more part-time lecturers in the field of African Music and Ethnomusicology for spring 2021 and academic year 2021-2022 to teach the following courses:
- Spring 2021: Music of Africa (T/Th 10:30am-11:45am) and Social Justice, Advocacy, and Music (F 9:00-11:30am)
- Fall 2021: Ethnomusicology in Theory and Practice; African Music Systems
- Spring 2022: Introduction to World Music, and a seminar whose topic will be determined in consultation with the department.
Teaching may require in person, hybrid or remote assignments.

Ph.D.in an appropriate discipline is preferred; ABD will be accepted. Previous college-level teaching is preferred.
