Grove City College invites applications for a part-time instructor of Aural Skills in the Department of Music.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidates will teach Aural Skills 1 in the fall semester and Aural Skills 2 in the spring semester (2 credits each) to undergraduate music majors and music minors. Course content includes listening skills, singing skills, melodic dictation, rhythmic dictation, interval identification, and chord identification.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preference is given to candidates who can demonstrate on the piano and with singing and are comfortable with solfeggio syllables (primarily moveable do). Preference is given to candidates with a Master of Music degree. College or university teaching experience is desirable.
