The School of Music in the Weitzenhoffer College of Fine Arts at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a one-year full-time non-tenure track position in Music Theory.
We are seeking a candidate with commensurate teaching experience in undergraduate music theory, particularly diatonic harmony and counterpoint. Candidates active in research and whose professional work includes expertise outside of the Western European art music canon such as jazz, analysis of world music, film/media/sound studies, or popular traditions are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses and graduate seminars (3 + 2 per academic year) to music majors, serving on graduate committees, collaborating with the theory area in all departmental activities, and serving on various committees as assigned by the Director of the OU School of Music.
Ph.D. at time of application required.

4) a video recording or digital link of a classroom music theory teaching presentation, if available (15 minutes minimum length), and
