The James Madison University School of Music is currently hiring an adjunct instructor of music theory.
The position’s duties include teaching three sections of aural skills 1 and one section of written theory in the Fall, and teaching three sections of aural skills 2 and one section of music appreciation in the Spring.
Candidates who have experience livestreaming may also be considered for a streaming/media specialist part-time position, which would add additional compensation and duties.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of a Master’s degree in music, experience teaching aural skills in higher education, and if interested in the streaming/media specialist position, demonstrated skill with at least some of the duties included on the attached PDF (some training will be provided on the streaming equipment).
