The School of Music at The Ohio State University seeks to hire two 9-month, non-tenure-track, Visiting Assistant Professors in Music Theory starting August 15, 2022. This appointment is initially for one year, with a possibility of renewal for an additional two years.
Successful candidates will contribute to our progressive core undergraduate music theory curriculum, mentor graduate students in teaching, and teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses according to the candidates’ experience and research interests. Other responsibilities may include mentoring graduate or undergraduate research and serving on graduate thesis committees and candidacy exams.
ABD required, Ph.D preferred.
