South Dakota State University seeks applications for a full-time instructor of music theory for the 2026-27 academic year.
Teach the sophomore theory sequence, a course in form and analysis, and a course in orchestration. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in either applied flute, double reeds, or collaborative piano depending on the successful candidate's expertise.
A master's degree in the music discipline is required, doctorate or ABD is preferred. Experience in teaching theory is desired, as is advanced training in either flute, double reeds, or collaborative piano.
