Each year the Annual Meeting Grants considers special funding requests from standing committees and interest groups for activities held at the SMT Annual Meeting. Deadline for applications: August 16.

The Society for Music Theory's 49th Annual Meeting is coming to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this November. More than 650 music theorists from colleges, universities, and conservatories around the world will gather for four days of connection, collaboration, and exploration of new directions in music research and practice.

This annual award honors outstanding undergraduate syllabi that promote diversity in music theory. The deadline to apply for the 2026 award is Monday, September 14.
