One-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in music theory at Wichita State University.
Teaching will be in-person.
This is an emergency hire. It is not, for all sorts of reasons, a "search." We expect to also be doing a full search for an Assistant Professor in Music Theory this academic year.
3–3 load (2–2 prep) comprising:
Fall:
> 2 sections of Theory 3 (chromatic harmony)
> 1 section of Form and Analysis
Spring:
> 2 sections of Theory 4 (post-tonal)
> 1 section of graduate theory seminar (any topic, your choice)
Our ideal fit for this position would be a PhD or ABD in music theory.
