Please join us this fall as we gather virtually for our 44th Annual Meeting. Our annual meeting attracts more than 650 theorists from colleges, universities, and conservatories from around the world.
About the Meeting
The Society for Music Theory, with 1,200 members, brings together academics, graduate students, and other professionals specializing in music theory. It will be the forty-fourth Annual Meeting and provides an opportunity for attendees to network, share knowledge, and explore new directions in music research and practice. More than 150 presentations are scheduled, as well as meetings, receptions, and workshops.
By participating in this year’s meeting, you will reach a large, specialized audience of customers for your products and services. We are expecting more than 600 registrants of leading specialists, including heads of research institutes, academic deans and department chairs, private consultants, and graduate students.

The Society for Music Theory will be offering a virtual exhibit hall to all registrants. Benefits of being an exhibitor include the following:
- Exhibitor page within exhibit section which may include your logo, a link to your website, informational text, and supplementary documents (fliers, sample book chapter, etc.)
- Set (optional; see schedule below) and drop-in hours.
- One-on-one meetings with registrants.
- Scheduled pre-recorded or live product demonstrations.
- Book exhibit section.
- Listing in the program book PDF, conference website, conference platform, and social media.
- One complimentary conference registration. Additional registrations are available for $50 and may be purchased while completing the complimentary registration form below.
Reservations and Deadlines for Exhibits
The Reservation Form and payment or purchase order must be received by October 15, 2021. Cancellations on or before October 31st will be fully refunded (a $25 handling charge will be assessed).

- Conference Program Book Advertising
The digital Program Book contains the final program and is available to all meeting participants. Program Book advertisers will also receive a complimentary banner ad (728x90 pixels), recognition on the conference platform, website, and on social media.

The reservation form, ad copy, and payment must be received by October 15, 2021.
