The successful candidate should have a terminal degree (Ph.D./D.M.A. or equivalent) by the time of hire, and be able to demonstrate the requisite experience and communication skills to coordinate and work with over twenty adjunct instrumental faculty members to continue building a sustainable program for student performers in a wide array of styles (jazz, popular, classical, world music, etc.) through ensembles and individual lessons.
Above all, Rhodes seeks an imaginative, engaging, and energetic teacher with a commitment to the liberal arts ethos, and an inclination toward collaboration and interdisciplinarity.
