The Brazilian Association of Musical Theory and Analysis (TeMA) is pleased to invite all interested parties to submit paper proposals for the VI TeMA Meeting, which will be held in hybrid mode between August 18 and 21, 2025 at UDESC in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The theme of the event, “Knowledge Production in Music: Relevance of Musical Theory and Analysis and its Intersections with Practice”, aims to foster epistemological discussions and reflects the expectation that the knowledge produced by researchers in Musical Theory and Analysis will achieve the desired impact and relevance for the area, generating pedagogical, technical and artistic innovations.
We invite researchers, educators, and students who are dedicated to music theory and analysis to participate in this meeting to foster a broad debate on those subjects, to encourage academic exchanges, and to foment interest in theoretical-analytical studies in general.
