The area of responsibility includes the music theory training of all students in the bachelor's and master's degree courses in "Early Music" and open courses in the free elective and specialization modules with this thematic focus. It is planned to add a specialization in music theory from the 15th to 18th centuries to the master's degree in “Music Theory”.

We are looking for a person who represents music theory and ear training with a proven specialization in music from the 15th to 18th centuries.
A completed university degree in music theory, proof of at least one year of teaching experience in this subject at a music college or a comparable institution, expertise in music theory from the 15th to 18th centuries, which should be proven through publications and corresponding teaching experience, are required. Proven practical competence regarding the music of these epochs is also required. A doctorate in musicology or music theory is desirable.
The Hochschule für Künste aims to increase the number of women in artistic and scientific fields, and therefore expressly encourages women to apply.
