The Music Department at Reed College (Portland, OR) invites applications for a one-semester Visiting Assistant Professor of Music (Visiting Director of Choirs) for the Spring 2024 semester.
We seek a conductor to lead our choral program which consists of two ensembles: Chorus, a large non-auditioned community choir open to the wider Reed community, and Collegium Musicum, an auditioned mixed-voice chamber choir.
The visiting professor, who should have a terminal degree in music and/or comparable professional experience, will select repertoire appropriate for each group, rehearse weekly with each ensemble, and offer an hour-long concert featuring both ensembles at the end of the semester.
