JOB DESCRIPTION

The Arthur Satz Department of Music at the University of Rochester invites applications for a one-year non-tenure assistant professorship in the field of Music Theory, Musicology or Ethnomusicology, with a start date of July 1, 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two courses per semester, with anticipated course offerings to include one introductory course and one elective each semester. Classes begin for Fall 2023 on August 30, 2023.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications include PhD in Music Theory, Musicology, or Ethnomusicology (in hand by August 1st, 2023) and evidence of excellence in scholarship and teaching.
