Nine-month, full-time, non-tenure-track, one-year appointment (possible renewal) beginning August 1, 2024.
This faculty member will teach a wide range of music theory classes to undergraduate music majors/minors and graduate music students including possible courses in the undergraduate theory sequence, graduate theory review, and classes in popular music, analytical techniques, theory pedagogy, and topical seminars depending on the applicant’s interests. The Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.
Required: Terminal degree required at time of appointment. Applicants should have a successful record of university-level teaching experience.
Preferred: Collaborative skills and experience in the creative use of technology in music theory instruction.
