The Department of Music at Washington University in St. Louis (St. Louis, MO) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in Music Composition at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall semester of 2025. The Department is seeking a composer whose work addresses issues of race, power, equity, and/or justice. The successful candidate will have a strong record of creative activity, promise of a national artistic profile, and show a commitment to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion. Duties will include teaching courses in composition, music technology, and/or music theory, conducting research, advising students, participating in department governance, and university service.
A PhD or DMA in Music Composition, Music Technology, or a closely-related field is required at the time of appointment.
