Tenure-track position with research expectations in music and artificial intelligence and teaching expectations in music theory and aural skills.
Maintain excellence in scholarly research and/or creative activity; develop courses in AI for the general undergraduate student population as well specialist AI courses in music; teach graduate and undergraduate courses in music theory; supervise graduate teaching assistants who teach undergraduate theory courses; supervise student research at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Other duties, including service, as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A doctorate in music theory, composition, or related music field. ABD will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate that their research and/or creative activity interests lie at the intersection of music and AI.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching music theory and aural skills at the university level.
