We invite applications for a Lecturer in Musicianship position to commence in the Fall 2026 semester. We seek applicants with a demonstrated record of excellence in the classroom to teach our undergraduate courses in musicianship (aural skills, sight reading, keyboard skills) and music fundamentals, and to coordinate graduate assistants for these courses. This is a full-time position (non-tenure track) for a term of up to three years, with the possibility of renewal.
Required Qualifications:
• Doctorate (PhD or DMA) or ABD status by August 17, 2026
• Experience as instructor-of-record teaching aural skills, sight reading and keyboard skills at the undergraduate level
Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate (PhD or DMA) awarded by August 17, 2026
• Experience with planning an undergraduate musicianship curriculum
• Experience with current research and approaches in the pedagogy of music theory and musicianship
• Experience building musicianship skills in a variety of musical styles and genres
