We are pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for the upcoming Society for Music Theory (SMT) conference in 2026, to be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from Nov 5–8. Deadline: February 16, 2026.

This yearly award helps highly qualified PhD students to complete their dissertations. Deadline: December 15.

Part of the mission of the Award for Diversity Course Design is to make it easier to teach diverse courses. The SMT is honored to share the syllabi of its award winners.

SMT is seeking nominations for a new SMT President-Elect and two new Members-at-Large.
