The American Hungarian Educators Association (AHEA, http://ahea.net) will hold its 50th Annual Conference in person at Cleveland State University, in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. We welcome participation by academics, independent scholars, and graduate students interested in Hungarian culture, history, literature, linguistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, education, folklore, fine arts, music, dance, and other related disciplines.
Conference theme: 250 Years of Hungarian Contributions to the United States of America
Proposals may address a broad range of topics inspired by the bisesquicentennial celebration of the United States of America and relevant to Hungarian culture, including contributions made by Hungarians, as well as life in the Hungarian diaspora and the influence of Americans on Hungary. We welcome presentations on methodology and those that provide directions for future research.
Abstract submission deadline: November 15, 2025
Replies by December 20, 2025, at the latest. Applications for travel awards will open in January.

Submission guidelines:
- Conference languages are English and Hungarian. Abstracts and presentations welcome in either language.
- One “individual presentation” per author will be considered. Scholars participating in roundtables, workshops, and book presentations may also submit an “individual presentation”.
- All authors must be AHEA members. Membership information is available on the AHEA website.
