Before submitting a proposal for an episode, authors should familiarize
themselves with the timeline for Season 6 production. The three phases of
production can be found on the Pitch a Pod https://smt-pod.org/submit/ section of our website. Please note that at this stage, authors need only submit a
proposal, an episode outline/script will be due later this summer, and full
audio drafts will be due in the fall.
We encourage those in all stages of their research to submit their work.
SMT-Pod is proud to collaborate with authors with varying levels of audio
recording/editing experience. All are welcome!
SMT-Pod employs an Open Collaborative Peer Review process rather than a
more traditional anonymous peer review. Read more about why SMT-Pod chose this process and how it works on our OCPR webpage:
https://smt-pod.org/submit/OCPR/.
Should you have any questions on the submission process or require any
assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at smt-pod@societymusictheory.org or reach out to our incoming editor, Matthew Ferrandino, at meferrandino@gmail.com.
On behalf of the editorial board, we thank you for considering SMT-Pod as
a platform to showcase your research. We hope to collaborate with you soon!
