On Friday, October 23rd, at 10:30am Eastern time, the International Musicological Society publication Musicological Brainfood will partner with Florida State University to host a symposium on the theme of “Studying Music in the Post-Truth Era.”
The symposium will include talks by Paula Harper (University of Chicago) and Andrew Chung (University of North Texas), a response by Gary Tomlinson (Yale University), and a discussion moderated by my Brainfood co-editor Erol Köymen and me. The event will be livestreamed as it takes place on FSU’s Tallahassee campus, and virtual participants will have the ability to contribute questions to the conversation.
