On Saturday, August 24, 2019, beloved AMS Executive Director Bob Judd unexpectedly passed away. The SMT Executive Board offers our deepest condolences to his widow, Cristle Collins Judd (distinguished music theorist and President of Sarah Lawrence College) and to the entire membership of AMS. Bob was the guiding hand in organizing our joint meetings, working with utmost kindness and respect to create a wonderful sense of community among our two Societies.
